EL-in sounds like Ellen to me :P
I prefer th Swedish prn, which is a mix between EE-lin/EH-lin and AY-lin I guess. Perhaps someone else will do a better job explaining how it's pronounced. :)

Swedish long e, like in Elin, should be produced the same way as the vowel in burn, but without rounded lips. (And while we're on it, a Swedish y is an i with rounded lips ;) Yes, I've studied phonetics.)
