[Opinions] Re: Brandwyn & Keva
in reply to a message by Vek
Are these names supposed to be masculine or feminine? I honestly can't tell!I don't like Brandwyn very much; the d sounds awkward to my ears. I'd go with the lovely Branwen for a girl or Branden for a boy. I love Branwen in particular!Keva doesn't do anything for me either, and I think it's quite bland. I would try a similar-sounding, more substantial name like Keeva (Caoimhe) for a girl or Kavan for a boy.

Meant to be a femme variant of Brandon and Kev

Other suggestions for feminine versions:Brandy (I hate this but it would work)

Brandwyn is one letter away from 'brandewyn', which is Afrikaans (and almost Dutch!) for 'brandy'. Unlike Brandy, it is never used as a given name. I can't work out how you would pronounce Keva. If it's a form of Kev, and therefore of Kevin, it should have a short vowel: Kevva. But it looks like Eva with a K.Brandyn might work I suppose; inserting that random w makes it masculine all over again. And to feminise Kevin, perhaps you could go the Kevyn route.
