[Opinions] Ice ice baby!
Vanilla does sound pretty, but I'd think of it as the slang term for "boring." I wouldn't want to be named something associated with blandness, no matter how much my parents liked that flavor. Also, it does sound kind of trashy to me. How about Mocha or Peppermint?

Well, it does fit the celebrity trend of using food names, such as Apple or Plum. I even know a little girl named Paprika. The sound of Vanilla isn't bad, to me one of the main risks would be the temptation to call her Chocolate for fun! What about Chocolate? Doesn't that sound more mysterious and passionate? (I think, actually, that food names do have a tendency to invoke thoughts of eating, or "being eaten" that can lead to less savory, say, trashy, associations).
