Maxine. And I find Xavière so ugly that it's almost attractive in some way (but too linked to the wife of a former mayor of Paris, which is not a good connection at all).
I've also seen Meritxell "mu-ree-CHEL" mentioned on this site, I like it.

I feel the same way about Xavière, there's something likable about it but then it's not that likable, I also think Xavi would be a good nickname for it but Im not sure how I feel about that name either. Im not a big fan of Maxine because there is a cartoon here named Maxine of a cranky old lady :( Meritxell is interesting!
I also like the sound of (Marie)Sixtine and Quiterie/Quitterie too but they really wouldnt work in the US.

Ah these names are both some of my favourites! Very proper, aristocratic, goes to mass every sunday with her 10 siblings and wears a navy blue velvet headband. But I can understand why it wouldn't work. Too bad...
Maxine makes me think about the character in Being John Malkovitch, there's something a bit cold, acid about it but I still like it.
