It really seems kind of weird and more like GP territory to me. I know it is a boy name but I know from other boards that is already being put on girls like Addison and Madison. It sounds too much like Tennessee to me and it also reminds me of tennis shoes. I can't really think of good nickname. Sonny maybe is a possibility but Tenny still sounds like shoes and Ten is a number.

ious / ius / "S" ending names do bother me thoughIts a funny adversion I know but I dont like Lucius, or Theodosius etc

Oh yeah, I forgot your son's name is Killian. I think Killian and Tennyson would make great brothers!
