[Opinions] Re: Why is that?
Hmmm...Xaviera is unappealing to me. It's too much, too complicated. I am in complete disagreement with you on this. I don't see Xavia as at all akin to "ignorant" slang/communication, such as you suggest, and I'm a person who despises "text lingo". I take forever to type a text, but it's got proper grammar and punctuation. To be honest, your "not elevated" remark suggests a pretentious outlook.

While we appreciate the sentiment, neither Xavia nor Xaviera are really our style at all, to be honest. But it seems a tad silly to argue over opinion. Both names have their merits, and both parties are entitled to view those merits however they deem fit. Thanks so much for the suggestion, though! We love to hear new names so that we, too, can more completely understand what we like as individuals and as a couple.

I was genuinely interested...in why hyacinthus had such a strong negative reaction to the name, so I asked him about it. I often appreciate his style and his taste in names, even when they aren't names I would personally choose. Sometimes my opinions aline with his, sometimes they don't. He is one of the knowledgeable types around here I make a point of reading, even when I don't intend to post on the subject myself. He is also known to be grumpy/harsh at times. I try not to let this lessen my overall enjoyment of his contributions opinions. For my part, I was conversing, not arguing. Hyacinthus absolutely is entitled to his opinion, and I was as honest and candid in my response to his expression of that opinion as he was in giving it. I've not been offended, nor did I intend any offense. :)
