[Opinions] Merith / Marith / Mareth
"MAIR-ith" like the first part of Mary
1) which spelling? Or would you suggest an alternative?
2) wdyt? Yes I like Meredith and Maris both also but have been really drawn to this more lately.

I knew a Maryth at school; pronounced with a short a as in at or mad. I like it a lot! As for spellings, I don't enjoy Merith at all. Marith and Mareth are OK.
It's pretty. I prefer it to Meredith. I like the Merith spelling best.
I think I'd go with Mareth. It seems the most complete, as Marith looks like a lisp-y Maris, and Merith looks like a Meredith typo. Sorry, I'm not a fan of the sound at all either way.
Merith
1. Merith. Or Mereth. Because Marith / Mareth looks like it could/should be "MAR-ith." Marith seems nicer than Mareth, to me. -eth makes me think of archaic verbs and so it sounds a little twee.
2. I like it. Why and how have I never invented it myself? Weird.
I notice that on familysearch and it appears as a male name about as often as it does as a female name. But I'd very much prefer it as a female name. Hard to picture on a man, for me at least.

I think I like Mareth best. Merith and Marith look like they should have two Rs for some reason.
It's okay but it does sound like Maris with a lisp. Or should I say "Mareth with a lithp"
