Oren and Naomi sound like a sibset, but they also leave the door open to a wide possibility of names if a baby #3 were on the cards.

Oren seems worlds away from Elliot and Duncan, maybe looking at more eclectic names may be the way to go to find something that fits with your different name tastes (though Elliot and Duncan both feel surname-y).

Oren is Dutch for "ears", so I can't get used to it as a name. But even apart from that, I don't like it at all. I don't like the sound of it and it looks like there's something missing before the O.

I like it well though. I think it fits fine with Naomi.
(I also agree that Duncan = ew. I like Elliot, but I actually think Oren fits better with Naomi than Elliot does. Naomi is a bit too tough or "rugged" for Elliot, if that makes any sense.)

I don't think they "go." I think your favorites go better with Naomi, but I'm with you on Duncan...ew.

I don't really like Oren at all, sorry. The sound just doesn't appeal to me in the slightest. There are so many other names that would fit with Naomi a lot better.

I like Oren a lot. I have an ancestor by this name. I also have an ancestor by the name Olen.

I think Naomi and Oren suit quite well, much better than Naomi and Elliot or Naomi and Duncan. Oren is nice enough. I much prefer the similar, but not quite identical sounding Orrin for it's looks.

Reading the other responses, I never knew Oren meant all these things in other languages @_@. But I like it; I think it has a warmth to it and I definitely don't hear it often.

Duncan is actually a GP but I'd never use it. It always makes me want to laugh (it just sounds goofy and reminds me of Dunkin Donuts) and yet I still like it.

It's okay. Unfortunately, a boy that I knew with this name was really snooty and that has ruined it for me.

In Dutch "oren" means "ears" so here you would never see it used. In an Anglophone world it works fine though. It's kind of different from Naomi, but not too different to ring alarmbells in me.

I can't take Oren seriously - it means 'orange' in Welsh, which is a language I hear and speak regularly. However, the 'real' meaning is lovely, and it does go nicely with Naomi.

I like both Elliot and Duncan. Oren means "unclean; unpure" in Swedish, so for me it's a big no-no.
