I don't like it. All I can think of when I see it or hear it is "margarine".
Margery, that spelling, has never been as popular in the US as the spelling variant
Marjorie was.
Marjorie was a top hundred name from 1904 through 1945.
Margery is not now in the top thousand so it's used very rarely, if at all.
Marjorie, on the other hand, made a reappearance in the top thousand in 2013 and has gone from #909 to #798, so it looks like it may be coming back.
