I never realized Kay(e) was a short form of Katherine. I really like that! It feels zingy, maybe flapper-y.

I've also never really thought of it as a full name, it's sort of just a syllable for a filler middle name, like Jo or Rae. I can't say I much like the idea of it on its own as a full name, but I love the idea of it as a nickname for a K first name!
