Hi !!!
It is the Italian form of Raphael (the archangel). It is pronounced raf-fa-AY-le.
There is also a Medieval form of this name (Raffaello) but it is mostly used only to say the artist (or also the Ninja turtle TT).

Raffaele was Amanda Knox’s boyfriend when she was in Italy, so I can only associate it with that, sadly. Even if I didn’t i’d still much prefer Raphael / Rafael. Rafaello is nice!
