That's interesting that it was used in the 70's... the only Starlin I've ever heard of is Starlin Castro who plays for the Cubs (actually Yankees now, I just checked!) and I remember being taken aback when I saw his name. It's just very odd and made-up sounding... even Starling would be better. Just bad overall if I'm honest.
