[Games] Re: Multiple Multiples CAF
in reply to a message by misscurlieq
I tend to like more rules and, especially when it’s late at night, I like to limit my options and make things a bit of a game of chance to make it easier on my brain :D - so here’s how I played:
After rolling for the number of children, I rolled for everyone’s genders. I used this Country to pick where the families were from generator https://researchmaniacs.com/Random/Random-Country-Generator.html (I skipped countries that weren’t specifically in BtN’s list usage list to make it simpler). Then I used the most current Top 100 popularity list for each country for the names (if there was one) and rolled for the names– if there wasn’t 100 I used this dice for whatever number of names there were https://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm)
If there was more than one name with the same number I tried to count by the standings if it was simple enough to– e.g. 89, 90, 90, 90, 93 = 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, and if there were no names with the rolled number, I found the closest number(s) and did the same. If I’d already used the name and it didn’t make sense to use again – like you would for a Jr. or using a parent’s middle name for a child, etc., - then I just re-rolled.
