Reminds me of Sara, so I'd pronounce it Dare-uh. Am I right? I like Dara, and I think if you want it to honor your mom, that is all that matters. I think it is pretty, and a nice alternative to Dorothy, which sounds a bit dated, and to Dora, which, although I think is very pretty, has been ruined by Dora the Explorer at the present time.
