I like Saoirse, Maeve, Aoibheann (EE-van), Aoife, Niamh, Ailís (AY-lish), Siobhan, Moira, Aideen, Caoimhe (KEE-va), Eoin (Owen), Aidan, Angus, Brennan, Brendan, Padraic (Pod-rick), Cillian & Niall.

I’m really liking Aoife and Saoirse at the moment. They sound so soft but strong. Saoirse also makes me think of seashells and that’s not a bad association really. I don’t think I could ever use them even though both my parents have irish in them, because people find them so difficult to pronounce. I also found a really interesting irish name today - Alastríona! It’s very long but very pretty IMO. Reading this back I realised I don’t like so many irish boy names (aside from Niall and the common Patrick which is a family name for me). Scottish names I like are Lauchlan, Naoirse and Douglas.
