[Facts] Re: Pronunciation of Veryan?
in reply to a message by Lavinia
Hi,
Bit of a belated response but speaking as an 18 year old girl named Veryan, I think I could be of some use. My mother is Cornish, her inspiration for the name is derived from the Cornish village and beach dedicated to Symphorian; she has always pronounced it as Very-en but there is always variation such as Very-an and Very-un which I've always quite liked. I used to resent the name as it always seemed quite androgynous and gender fluid, but I’ve really grown to like its authenticity as well as people who meet me for the first time which is nice!!
