It carries a lot of sentimental value for me. To me it’s very warm and maternal.
In Denmark, we say it with four syllables so that’s how I prefer it pronounced.

I think this name is very pretty in German & Dutch (it might be used in France, too), where the S is pronounced more like a Z. However, when I say this my impulse is to pronounce the S like an English S, and then that sounds like "lease a lot," and that kills it for me. :-(
