It's an interesting literary name. I could get used to it, but, as an English speaker, the pronunciation seems a bit odd...the German sounds like tyoo-mee-uhn to me. It almost reminds me of Dunya or Petunia, if I try to think of it as namey.
I like Thyme as unisex already. Or Timian / Timyan, as masculine.
Thymian Olga was my fav of the combos.
