It's just too nutty. Like she should have a sister named Hazel and a brother named Filbert.
It reminds me of a joke I heard, which was told to me in an Irish accent but the accent isn't essential. A father is bragging about his new baby daughter and says her name is Hazel. His friend says "Hundreds of saints to name the little lass after and you name her for a nut."
