Much too Simpson. I've never seen an episode of the Simpsons in my life and genuinely enjoyed the Iliad, but
Homer Simpson is still an overwhelming association. Disgregarding the Simpsons and the poet, it's an unattractive sound, reminiscent of the likes of
Elmer. And it lends itself towards the nickname Homie, which isn't comely. I think it could work if paired with something equally classical, but more breezy and on trend. I like
Homer Atticus and
Atticus Homer. Either way, I prefer
Homeros or
Omiros. Or Omeros, just to be Walcottian?
