There is currently a top 500 list on this site for 2008+. To add earlier years it would be ideal to have the top 500 as well. Meertens seems to have more extensive data for earlier years, but their published lists only show a top 100. If you search up a name that is outside of the top 100, you can see how many bearers it has. I'm not sure what their source is or how to get hold of the data.
