How, indeed? I suppose it's possible; perhaps it's even been done. I wouldn't encourage it, but nor would I encourage people to swallow a live cockroach, though I'm sure that's happened too.
What does interest me is the pronunciation. Does Gavin rhyme with Raven - GAYvin, rather than GAVin? Not in my dialect, but perhaps elsewhere?
