[Opinions] Re: Thoughts on…
I really like Enid. It's cute yet sturdy, a combination of qualities that really appeals to me lately.Ella is a very forgettable name, sadly. It used to be a nice vintage choice, although it hardly retains any of its original charms because it's been overwhelmed by the Eliana/Isabella/Bella/Ellie trend. Maya is nice, it feels vaguely tropical and languid. Yet it also seems watered down and flimsy, because it fits in a little too well with the inoffensive beige boho-minimalist aesthetic that is so ubiquitous now. Instead of being exotic, it feels kind of blah, lifeless. Abel is really cute and sturdy and sweetly unfashionable, just like Enid, so that's nice. Abe would be a cute nickname.Isaac is classic, nothing to sneeze at, and I like Ike. It has a lovely meaning. This used to be one of my favourite names.Levi is sharp, but I think it gives me the wrong sort of vibe - it should be a down to earth cowboy name, but all I think of is megachurches and prosperity gospel, which is a turn-off for me. Seth is all right. It's soft, which I like in boy's names, but it's also sort of mushy, slurry-like, which sometimes I like and sometimes I hate.Jonah is nice, I love the mouthfeel of the the Jone- beginning, and I love the meaning, and the whale story. I think I might prefer Jonas sliiiiightly more, but Jonah is good. It's a purple colour in my mind (many J names are some shade of purple to me) and I do like that.
