It's been two years now since our beautiful wedding. Although all we could afford was do in our church hall after the ceremony it was just perfect, we had both wanted to get married and start our family quickly. The party was lovely. All our family and friends pulled together so that in the end, all we had to pay for was the church fee, the hiring of the hall, the flowers, Maddy's dress, Danny's kilt outfit and a bridesmaid dress for Kate, Maddy's maid of honour. Our flowergirl Lucie already had a dress to wear. Everyone brought platters of nibbles to eat adn in the end there was far too much food to be used up. Maddy and her youngers siblings with their friends and some of Maddy's, had a great time tidying up and decorating the hall. It was gorgeous with streamers and balloons everywhere!
After the wedding we went for a week in the south of France where the weather was beautiful. Then we returned to our brand new home together. Due to saving on the wedding and saving as much money as possible we had been stunned to see how much we could actually afford. We rent a beautiful new-build modern flat in the centre of Edinburgh. It's in a lovely area, only a few minutes away from a supermarket, Princes Street, parks, schools, both of our work and our university. We're so lucky to of found the place! Our landlord and lady are lovely as well. They live in the penthouse of the building (it has 6 flats and the penthouse, they own the whole building) and they hold little parties and barbecues for all the residents. The whole place has a great atmosphere. John and Anna (our landlords) have a son Nicholas who is two. The other families are: Laurence and Amanda with their twin daughters Megan and Carla (6), Ty and Nikki (a lovely couple around our own age), Iain, Imogen (we all believe Imogen and Iain will end up together!), Sasha and Robbie and us. We couldn't of asked for better neighbours. Our flat has a huge open-lan living area. There is a kitchen area with a breakfast bar, a living area, a study area and a play area for any future kids. Then there is the master bedroom (it's flaming HUGE!) with en-suite and a further two bedrooms, a family bathroom and a toilet. We all share a large garden and decking area at the back but we have our own private balcony seating area. Well, I better go start unpack.

We've only been here about a year and I'm still not done unpacking but we have great news. We're expecting! It's a girl and she's due to be here in about 4 months time. What's more to add to the perfect timing of her arrival, there are to be three other children in our building her age! Imogen and Iain are finally a couple and are expecting a child together. Immy is moving into Iain's flat and a new couple are moving in. They're called Myra and Alex and have two kids Rachel and David who are 7 and 2. Megan and Carla are excited to have a new friend to play with! We're all sure that Nicholas (John and Anna's son) will be friends with David. Anna and John are now expecting their second child. Also expecting are Ty and Nikki. Can't wait for the babies to all grow up as friends!

Well, SHE'S HERE!!! Our darling bundle of joy has arrived. WE decided to honour Lisbeth (Elisabeth), Danny's mum who has just received news that she has cancer. But she's strong and we're sure she'll pull through! Our angel is called Bethan Eilish Isabella. She's a right handful but we're coping. The other 'house babies' as we call them are Angela (Anna and John's first daughter, brother is Nicholas), Sawyer (Ty and Nikki's son) and Peyton (Imogen and Iain's son. They recently married).

Our second child is here - and it has turned out to be two children! We named them Rory and Morgan. Bethan couldn't be more excited if she even tried. She's doing brilliantly and as we predicted is great friends with all the others in the building. Laurence and Amanda have a two month old daughter called Claire Victoria and Robbie and Sasha have a son called Caden Ross. The building is alive with children!
