I think you get the same problem with a lot of Welsh names. ^^ Pronounciation isn't really an issue for me though as most people round here will be familiar with the name.
Yeah, I figured you'd have no trouble with it, lol. Unfortunately, there wasn't much for Welsh immigrants where I live, so I probably sound ridiculous trying to say it! Around here, it's far more likely you'll meet a Sigrid or a Jens than a Gwilym. :D
I really like how Gwilym looks, though, and Wil is a nice nickname when not every small boy has it (which it feels like here sometimes, heh).
