Devanagari Alphabet

Devanagari is the alphabet (technically abugida) used to write several Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Nepali, Kashmiri and Sanskrit.

Devanagari is derived from the Brahmi alphabet, which was descended from the Aramaic alphabet, which was descended from the Phoenician alphabet.
