I discovered Behind the Name in August 2015 when I needed a name generator for developing a fictional story line. I was not satisfied with the generator but found that the website had a wealth of information about each name, and I found it really interesting. Now I use the website nearly every day for my own informal research purposes, and I consider myself a name nerd. :)
I like established, traditional, and slightly dated names; many of the new trendy names are really annoying to me.
