Meaning & History

Dover is a small, but important port town in Kent, Southern England. It is derived from the Brythonic Dubrās, meaning 'water' (Modern Welsh ddwfr, 'water, tears').

In Singapore, there is a small neighbourhood by this name: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dover,_Singapore.
There is also a public transport Mass Rapid Transit (metro) station which goes by this name.
