Meaning & History

From the name of the 7th-century kingdom of Tolang Pohwang, itself derived from Lampungese to meaning "people" and Lang Pohwang, an old name for the region, which is of uncertain origin and meaning. This is the name of an Indonesian province in southern Sumatra.
