The Donetsk People's Republic (2014-2022) was a mostly unrecognised country in Eastern Europe. Since it's dissolution as a country, it has been annexed as region of Russia. It is a territory debated between Russia and Ukraine, partially controlled by both of them. It's native name is Донецкая Народная Республика (Donetskaya Narodnaya Respublika) in Russian and Донецька Народна Республіка (Donets'ka Narodna Respublika) in Ukrainian.
