Nan, the name was given to her great-great grandfather. It was after a Native American boy who worked in the fields. She is currently trying to find out which tribe it was from for me. It might not have been spelled that way until it was given to her great-great grandfather. I am still working on some more info for you guys. I jsut thought it might help to have a bit of a head start. I am doing it for a Christmas gift to her.
