KRAHENBUHL means "crows' hill" with the two elements Krahe (in German with an A umlaut > KRAY-eh) and "Buhl" from Middle Lower German "bul" (hill). Alternatively (but not very likely) the second element could be from Middle High German "buole" (close relative, lover).
