I tihnk it's a very beautiful name especially for a dark haired girl. i actually had a dream once where i had a daughter named Esmeralda. Actually it was triplet, 2 boys & a girl. Justin, Gregory, & Esmeralda. Although, they weren't names i usually think about but I like them. I'd just make sure to call her Esmeralda all the time. Personally i don't care for nns. If she wants a nn let her find it when she's ready.
