do you?I doubt that you have the same "hard G" we have..because when we try to make foreign people pronounce "Scheveningen" (Cinderella you'd know this word! :)) they really can't..they can't pronounce SCH as we do..for example, Gabriel, Garage, Gareth, Gay, etc all have a soft G...Could you give me an example of a word that has a "hard G"? Not trying to offend/attack you Chrisell, but i'm curious what you consider a hard G...ours is a hard one, almost like you are gargling your throat...:)

What we call "hard G"Is the G in Gabriel, Gareth, Gay, etc. What we call "soft G" are Gs that are pronounced as Js, as in Gillian, Gemma, Genesis, Genevieve, etc.Miranda

Ah okay thanks! But your G's in Gabriel, Gareth, Gay etc are soft G's for us..lol i wish we had some programm that can play sounds..
