"Casca" was Publius Servilius Casca Longus, a Roman politician whose dubious distinction was that he was the first assassin to deliver a stab wound to Julius Caesar. He died by his own hand a coupla years later, about 42 BC.
I've been unable to readily find a translation of "Casca" (not a first name in this context), but Nanaea, with the massed information resources of Adam Clayton Powell Middle School at her fingertips :), will undoubtedly be more enlightening.
