I'd use Ada for the AY-da pronunciation. The thing about Aida is that it's properly (in the Verdi, at least) spelled Aïda, with the dieresis above the "i". The dieresis causes the "i" to be pronounced independently, instead of being combined into a diphthong. In French, Italian, and most languages which use "pure"er vowels than English, "i" is pronounced "ee", hence ah-EE-dah.
I like both Aïda and Ada.
