I'm not big on nn's, unless they occur naturally maybe. But there are a few names I like that have 'associated' nn's that I also like, though these names wouldn't necessarily be my first choices to use as fn's. On NN's: my name is
Heather and it doesn't have a nn, really, and that's what I prefer in names. My siblings,
Nicholas &
Candis, have been called
Nicky &
Candi most of their lives and have had a hard time "shaking" those nicknames in their adulthood (and they're in their 40's now! lol).
