[Opinions] Sonny vs Sunny
Replies
Yes.
I pronounce them the same, yes.
Sonny is only masculine to me (it's an elaboration of the common term of affectionate address "son"), but Sunny can be unisex (since both boys and girls can have a sunny personality).
I don't particularly care for the names. But I prefer both names as nns, though Sunny is more tolerable as an actual given name to me. The only risk would be that a child named Sunny at birth would turn out to be a morbid depressive!

No I personally dont like them especially Sonny, its okay as a nickname I suppose, but as a given name its horrible, its as bad as Missy and Precious far too cutsy and a bit well weird in a - I dont want my baby to ever grow up sort of way
Sunny isnt quite so bad but it too is a bit too nicknamey for me
Sonny is definately male, Sunny could be either
i don't really care for the name but i see sonny as a boys name and sunny as girls
