[Facts] Possible alternative etymology for 'bourne' . . .
I used to live on Glenburn Road, which appears to be related to Glenbourne. In this case, 'burn' is from the Old English born/burn meaning 'stream' or 'fountain'.:-)http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=burn
