[Opinions] Linden and Lindy
WDYT of Lindy and Linden. I think Lindy is cute, and Linden is very pretty but a bit surnamey.

A Linden is a type of tree, and the Lindy is the name of a dance (40s? 50s?)

I like Linden very much. Lindy is ok for a nn, but I don't like it as a given name.To be born Welsh is not to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth, but with a song in your heart.

I like Lindy :) sweet name :) but Linden sorry i dont like...

Linden is sweet, especially when you consider the meaning. Lindy is pretty, but I could never use it because it would remind me too much of Lindy Chamberlain and her tragic story. I like Linda though (and can't use it because my stepsister is Belinda . . . *sigh*).

I love Linden for a girl. I don't find it that surname-y - I associate it more with the tree - but I do see how it could be confused with Lyndon etc. I think Lindie is a great nn for it :-) _____________________________________________________________________"[David Gest] looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery done, but not by a plastic surgeon."Elinor

I don't care for it. Linden is feminine, but I think of the male name Lindon. I don't find it pretty, and Lindy sounds odd to me. I prefer Linda and Lindsay.

I prefer Linden with Lindy as a nickname. Lindy seems too cutesy on its own.

I really like Lindy as a nickname for Linda. I like Linden only for a boy, and then only for someone else's boy. But I think it's a really nice name.Array

Lindy is technically a nickname for Linda, but I like it as nn for Lindsay. It's only okay to me as a nickname. Lyndon would be good on a boy. So would Linden, but I like Lyndon."Dance like no one's watching."

Both are nice names, but I prefer Linden on a boy.

I work with a girl named Lynde...she frequently has to correct people who try to call her Linda or Lindsay. Lindy would be a cute nickname for Lindsay, but not really my style.

Linden is okay but I prefer it for a boy even if it is listed as a Girl name :)
