[Opinions] Woohoo...!
What a post! I've been a coward, I had no courage to ask you about Hungarian names, but now I just have to have a go!I thought I might also give some background to naming trends here: as I see there are two paralel trends at the same time: 1. using elaborated and often foreign names, like Jennifer, Esmeralda, Samantha. As Hungary is a list giving country, these names can onl make the list if the spelling is adapted to the Magyar way, thus they become Dzsenifer, Eszmeralda, Szamanta. Don't ask. It's horrible. These names are extremely popular among less educated, lower class people.2. using short, simple names that are either originally Hungarian or were used back in time, like Anna, Fanni, Lea, Réka etc. It is also interesting that while other countries have a bunch of biblical names, they are very rarely used in my country. Mns are also rare. Most of us have only one name. And finally, names that I like or would possibly use:Barnabás (Barnabas) nn Barna
Sebestyén (Sebestyen) nn Sebes, Sebi
Miklós (Miklos) nn MikiAino
Frida
Mira
