[Facts] French spelling
How would one spell the French surname pronounced la-VEE? My grandparents said our last name was originally this, and I've been spelling it LaVee, which I'm sure is not right. Help, anyone?~♥Eirena♥~

It could be Lavie, Lavy or Lavi (in order of possibility imo). Lavee (French names don't have 'big' letters in them if the name isn't separated, like De Chatel) would be lah-veh.

I guess La Vie or Lavie. It means "the life".*Brother, you say there is but one way to worship and serve the Great Spirit. If there is but one religion, why do you white people differ so much about it? Why not all agreed, as you can all read the Book?* - Sogoyewapha, "Red Jacket", Seneca Nation
