[Opinions] Jayla
WDYTOT name Jayla? I'm really starting to warm up to it but I think it might be a little close to my name, Julia. Would Jayla & Jordana be good for sisters without being too cutesy?

I like Jordanna in that spelling -- or just Jordan -- for a girl :-)
I dislike Jayla. It doesn't have any substance to it, because it just combines two fashionable syllables. It also reminds me of the word "jail".

I think Jayla is cute. I perfer Jaya(jay-uh) though.
I makes me think of the word "jail".
I don't understand the new fascination with "Jay-" names. I work in an NICU (neonatal intensive care) so I see a lot of newborn babies. And lately there have been a ton of girls named Jayla and Jaylin/Jaelynn, etc. and boys named Jalen/Jaylon, etc. and Jayden/Jaden, etc. (most are African-American, not that that matters). We've even had twin girls named Jayla and Jaylin, and I heard about triplets somewhere that were Jayla, Jaylin and Jayden. YIKES! Jayla (and all the others) just look made up to me, insubstantial and will be out of style in a few months, if they were ever "in" at all.
BTW, why the attraction to names with the word "jail" in it?? And Jayla sounds like someone with an accent saying "jailer". :b

But there's no such name as Jordiana. At least Jordana is a real name.
Jayla=tacky.
Jayla is nms. I prefer names that have aged a bit. That way, you know they will stand the test of time. Julia brings to mind the Roman Empire. Jayla does nothing for me. Besides, after a while all of these "new" names start to sound a like, to me at least.
Jordana is not a bad name, I suppose. But I dislike siblings whose names begin with the same letter. It's too contrived and cutesy. Two siblings isn't so bad, though. It's when you get three or more that it gets bad.
