I think it's getting popular, and it borders on trendy. (Summer and Autumn aren't trendy to me, but Winter hasn't been around long enough for it to entrench itself as a non-trendy name imo.) I also think it sounds masculine.
Though Winter's my favourite season (I like the darkness it brings), I just don't think it sounds pretty or feminine enough for a RL female, regardless of her age.
