In Dutch I believe it can translate as "parts", whether in that language it's used as a first name I don't know.
I've heard that it is a common name in France. That information I got from a French and English speaking Jamaican.
There may have been a minorly well known doctor (of what I don't know) with that name, but whether first or last name I don't know. He may been Indian (either India Indian or Native American.)
I have been told that it translates in some Native American language as "he is so."
I know of at least two people with this name, both of them males. One of them got his name as a result of his parents involvement with synchrotistic "spirituality" and "naturalism."
