I have done a little research on this name and have found different ways to prnounce it. I have seen it as col-um and as cal-um. Which way is correct, or are they both correct? Thanks!
The correct spelling is Callum. Short for Mc Callum. When the Irish came to the new worl many of them drop the MC, due to the fact that they didn't want to be too Irish, because of New Emigrant reason.
My dad's name is Callum and he pronounces it just as it looks Cal-um. His parents were from Scotland and it is a common Scottish name so I assume his pronounciation is authentic.
