I've suddenly started thinking about the name Thandie...Thandie Newton the actress is where I heard it, was wondering if it could be a boy's name too?

would love to know......

Your opinion of the name, have you heard of it before, do you know anything about it?

Do you think it could be used for a boy or a girl, both? Who would it suit the most?

also how would you pronounce it?

I've never heard this name before, and I don't really like it that much.

I think that it sounds like a girl's name.

I would pronounce it 'Thandy.'

I have never heard of it either, and I am not fond of it. Its cutesy and nny as Timothy mentioned. However, if you spelled it without the -ie ending, you could get away with it being more masculine (-ie usually implies a feminine -e ending).

Either way, I dont like it for either gender.

Thandie is cute : )

In Thandie Newton's case her birth name is Thandiwe. And she pronounces Thandie as TAN-dee.

There is also the spelling Tandy, but I think Thandie looks nicer.

I don't really see it as a boys name.

Too cutesy/nicknamey for me. I have never heard it before, nor do I know anything about it. With the -ie ending, it seems more suited for a girl, but I don't care for it for either gender.

I've never heard it before, it's quite pretty and is unique, and I would say it would be ok on either gender, but I wouldn't use it.
I would pronounce it (unless told otherwise) exactly how it is spelt.
