Lol, it's been a while since I saw that movie, I forgot that Joon's middle name is Pearl!
No, no particular reason, just happy coincidence :-) I've always had a thing for Juniper, and Pearl would be for my mother, Margaret - the only alternatives to Margaret that I really like are Margot and Pearl (Megan is okay, but I wouldn't want to use it), so I just popped it in there.
