[Opinions] Gil
Which sounds best (or do you have another suggestion)?
I am still unsure of the first name, so basically ignore the flow of Titus in the combo (it's one of those "long story" names). I'm mainly wanting opinions on the 3rd name.
nn will be Gil, ln is similar to Hastings
Titus Gilliland Hickson (my mil's maiden name)
Titus Gilliland William (my mom's maiden name, minus the "s")
Titus Gilliland Ford (grandfather-in-law was Clifford)
Titus Gilliland Ellis (mom is Elsie)

I really like the flow of the shorter names, Gilliland Ford and Gilliand Ellis because they just seem to slide off the tongue easily and flow into the last name better. Gilliland William just has too many Ls to be said with ease, and I actually like Gilliland Williams better as it just gives the name a bit more dignified air and flows better.
Hickson ends rather the same so it makes it seem like the name of two different children, one named Titus Gilliland and one named Hickson Hastings, also if your last name starts with an H like Hastings does then Hickson Hastings just seems like a stutter.
Ford from Clifford and Ellis for Elsie do seem like the weakest honoring links as forms instead of the actual name but I like them best.
Titus is really cute and sounds rather nice with Gilliland. And the nickname Gil is really lovely! :)

i lik titus gilliand ford
but I don`t really like Gilliand
but I don`t really like Gilliand
Titus Gilliland Hickson - very surnamey but better than William or Ellis
Titus Gilliland William too many L's for my taste
Titus Gilliland Ford - the best of the four
Titus Gilliland Ellis (mom is Elsie)too many L's again for me
I would suggest finding a third name that doesnt contain too many L's
I know you said ignore Titus but I rather like it and Titus Gilliland doesn't sound too bad

Dh has said many years ago, somewhat jokingly, that we should name a kid Titus. I'm starting to like it now.
