I love the name
Micaiah on a boy but I'm not so sure about on a girl. I am a fan of
Michal and
Michaela on a girl but not this. I guess the reason I would object to
Micaiah on a girl is that it just seems to fall into the popular trend of
Mackenzie and
McKenna in stealing boys names from girls and the spelling Machaiah seems like just another trend of misspelling names like
Mikayla,
Makayla,
Mckenzie,
Makenzie, and
Makenna. I just don't like it and think it's too trendy.
I suggest that you consider the already established feminine names such as
Michaela,
Michelle,
Michal, or what about
Mila?
Using your maiden name is a really nice idea, especially since it's so accessible for a girl. But if your husband doesn't like
Linn why not consider something like Madelinn or Annalinn or Marylinn so you can add your maiden name spelling of the name to another name. Or you could also consider a similar name such as
Linnea,
Lindsey,
Linda, or
Linnet?
